10/13/2008         Look Before You Leap - One Year Update

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

October 16, 2008 will mark the 1 year anniversary for Look Before You Leap. We launched the 3-screen, $600,000 multimedia assembly presentation 12 months ago at the Smithsonian Flight Museum in Dallas. The creation, birth and launch of Look Before You Leap generated a plethora of emotions for the Just Say YES staff, ranging from excitement and trepidation to relief and exhaustion. We were so proud of the final show which captures teens' hearts with its high octane scenes and edgy graphics.

Fortunately, local and national youth organizations shared our excitement! Nearly 200 Look Before You Leap. programs have been booked, in 10 states, including North Dakota, California, Iowa, Ohio, Oklahoma, Florida, Arkansas, Texas, We are pleased to have two vans and equipment to use locally, as well as two national subcontractors to help with programs outside of Texas. Look Before You Leap. has been shown in public schools, private schools, churches, community events, and at youth rallies. The demand has often exceeded the available dates! We are working diligently with groups to find dates that work for them. The further in advance a preferred date is given, the better chance of securing the preferred date.
